Wow, i don’t know what kind of kendo this really is but i could see myself getting some bruises after a harsh practice like that. Ouch!

This is not “kendo” as in the modern sport. This clip has been missunderstood as “bad kendo” but its actualy “pre-sportification”. Before international rules, this was kendo, and IF you understand the sport, these guys are actually pretty good at what they are doing (they have good kikentai, tenouchi, they move correctly). This kind of training is not bad for modern kendo once in a while, as long as its not the only thing you practice.
